We live in such a frantic world, especially for professional women. A recent study by McKinsie found that working women are more stressed and burned out then a year ago, and they experience more stress than men. Many are anxious and facing enormous pressure at work and at home. They’re also more likely to put others’ needs above their own, especially self-care.
Chronic stress impacts you and your children
Your children are watching you, mom and dad. Studies show that children and teens with parents, who have anxiety, tend to be more anxious and experience more anxiety. But realize this. Calm is also contagious.
As a working parent, I understand how living in chronic stress can impact you and your children in a negative way. After years of feeling overwhelming stress and lack of sleep, I was paying a price. But so were my children—who are now grown adults.
Until I stepped away from chronic stress and rediscovered meditation and guided imagery, I had to make wellbeing a priority and it made a big difference in my life. Now, I am on a mission to help you and your children and grandchildren discover your own inner power and inner coach for stress relief and empowerment.
